Shop Update – Level 3

Groundswell is open for business, but we have to monitor how we interact with customers.

COVID level 3 Rules state –
“General retail stores can operate.
However, they can’t allow customers onto their premises.
Customer interactions should be contactless, including for ordering, payment and delivery.  “

Please use the phone & emails for contact where possible, details below.

Activities we can do:

  • SALES / Advice / Info

    • We will provide service and sales using phone, email, our website and Facebook.
    • We can ship product NZ wide.
    • We can arrange contact-less pick up from the shop, as per Level 3 guidelines.
    • We can drop off items inside the Christchurch area.
    • Customers are NOT allowed in store, so please make contact by phone or e-mail.
  • SERVICE / Repairs.

    • For items that need repairing, email the details with pics if possible, and we can give you an estimate.

Shop Activities not permitted:

  • LESSONS – Kitesurf / windsurf / Sup / Winging.
    • Due to Level 3, we are unable to do lessons on the water.
  • Hanging in shop socializing. – Sorry…

Sports and recreation at Alert Level 3.

At Alert Level 3, you can exercise in your local area on your own, or with people in your household bubble.

If you are exercising outside, try to keep a 2 metre distance from people who are not in your bubble.

The most important thing is to stay safe and stay close to home.
Go to your local park or beach, not your favourite one.
You cannot stay overnight at your bach or holiday home.

Do low-risk activities so you do not need rescuing or medical care.

If you are experienced you can do more activities. These include:

  • Kiting / Surfing /  Sup / Windsurf / Foil
    — if you are an experienced , you can go to your local break, beach or spot.
    If you are NOT experienced,-  do not out.
    If it is big and thunderous,-  do not go out.
    If it is gusty & wild,  – do not go out.
  • Stay within 200 metres from shore if you are going out . Don’t go further than you can swim.
  • Let people know when & where you are going, & report in when finished.
  • Don’t be a dick . You screw it up for everyone…
